Dynamic Modeling and Stability Analysis for a Spur Gear System Considering Gear Backlash and Bearing Clearance

In practice, gear backlash and bearing clearance usually exist together in a system. They may induce complicated dynamic responses degrade transmission performance. Up to now, although each of them has been researched, little attention paid the coupling characteristics clearance. limited number relevant studies, since linear collision models they adopted are difficult realistically depict actual behaviors caused by clearance, these studies cannot accurately reveal Furthermore, system stability considering not thoroughly investigated. view this, this paper contributes research on modeling analysis for spur A nonlinear model with time-varying contact stiffness/damping is suggested describing behaviors.
